About Luisa

Luisa is a qualified McTimoney Animal Therapist and Canine Myotherapist, achieving her Masters Degree with the University of Wales in 2011, and Canine Myotherapy Diploma with Galen Myotherapy in 2013 respectively.

She uses a combination of McTimoney techniques (very gentle, chiropractic style treatment), myotherapy (massage) therapy and various manual techniques including myofascial release, passive range of movement, joint mobilisation, and trigger point therapy, as well as reiki (energy work) and red light therapy within her treatments as appropriate. This allows her to take a truly personalised and effective approach to your dog depending on their specific presentation and therapeutic needs.

Over the last ten years Luisa has built a glowing reputation and and runs a busy consultancy practice covering a large area of South East England. She routinely travels to Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, and Kent to treat, but has also worked as far afield as Scotland and across Europe upon request, such is the demand for her skills and talent.

She is passionate about providing a truly empathetic, knowledgeable, effective and supportive service to her patients and clients, using a truly holistic, integrative, and choice led approach.

Luisa has a special interest in sleddogs, having worked with Team GB sleddog teams both on home turf as part of their ongoing conditioning and maintenance treatment programmes, and at World Championship events across Europe for a number of years. Anyone that knows her will testify to her Alaskan Malamute obsession!
Luisa’s varied caseload also includes high level competitive agility and flyball dogs, those with chronic pain issues with or without underlying orthopaedic conditions such as osteoarthritis, hip dysplasia, spondylosis, patella luxation, IVDD (intervertebral disc disease), intermittent lameness cases whereby veterinary investigation has not identified a cause, performance issues and behavioural referrals whereby musculoskeletal pain is indicated.
